The T-10 paratrooper parachute was standardized by the U.S. government as a troop parachute in the early 1950s and has been used successfully with relatively few changes since then. WHA®'s T-10 parachute is based on the T-10D model and has upgraded some product components.

Additional Information:
In 1976, the basic crown was significantly changed with the addition of:
- Anti-reverse skirt (old part NSN11-1-1501 – T-10B). This improves the reliability of the already very reliable parachute and many in service canopies have been retrofitted with this net.
In 1986, the T-10B canopy was further improved to a new version of the T-10C, part number 11-1-1501-2. Improvements to the canopy include:
- Increase bag strap free length from 4 inches to 7-1/2 inches and reduce bag depth from 5 inches to 4-1/4 inches. This change reduces parachute impact by providing a slightly larger diameter in the skirt; providing a lower descent speed and a "softer" landing. All current T-10B canopies have now been upgraded to the new strap length.
In 2006, the material color of all T-10C components was changed to the new U.S. Army color Foliage Green #504. Additionally, bag assembly part number 62J4342 has been revised by adding a static line storage bar on either side of the existing webbing loop for static line storage. These new storage rods are used for additional storage on the folded ends of the 15' 5" yellow static cord. The static line is fixed to the main belt through a break strap under the belt in the bag or directly to the main belt if the break strap is eliminated.
In 2000, the T-10D was introduced. The T-10D package includes a removable deployment bag. The new bag contains:
- 15-foot universal static line, part number 11-1-6993-1; 5-foot extension static line, part number 11-1-6993-2; and hook, part number 11-1-6991.
Universal Static Line 15-foot or 20-foot static lines allow Soldiers to be dropped from a variety of aircraft.
Chest, back and leg straps allow for size adjustment. Each sling is 30 inches long and the crown release male attachment is permanently attached.
